Equity, diversity, & sustainability are central to everything Anu does…

Inclusive Sport Ambassador

Anu is an avid ambassador for inclusive sport, the South Australian sporting community, and promoting health & wellbeing. She has been involved in inclusive sport campaigns and Paralympics Australia marketing, and has mentored other para athletes looking to begin their own sporting journeys.

Disability Advocacy & Peer Mentoring

Anu’s experiences have made her a passionate disability advocate, which has seen her work with various organisations including Julia Farr Association and Women with Disabilities Australia. She has featured in multiple media articles including in The Guardian and has spoken at various state and national events and conferences. Anu was the Flinders University Student Disabilities Officer from 2018-2021 and currently works part-time as a disability peer mentor. Sport has helped Anu find her voice and she hopes to continue using this platform to be a positive role model for those with disabilities and future generations with the hope of creating social and environmental changes that promote access and equity for all.

Exercise Science & Physiology & Coaching

Having moved past the disappointment of not being able to complete her veterinary degree, Anu is now undertaking the Bachelor of Exercise Science/Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology at Flinders University. Her ambition as an Exercise Physiologist is to use exercise as medicine and bridge gaps and inequities in service provision to help people with chronic illnesses & disabilities reach their full potential.
